Industrial mechanic apprenticeship

Education:
- Industrial mechanics are responsible for fitting, maintaining and repairing complex assemblies and machines.
- If you are a sociable, outgoing person who enjoys working in and learning a hands-on trade and are interested in engineering, then you’ll love working with us.
- After a comprehensive training programme in the fundamentals of metalworking, you will be ready to take on a variety of jobs in all parts of the production line.
Training programme:
- Planning and organising your work
- Evaluating work results
- Learning to handle and use different types of materials
- Manufacturing components and assemblies based on technical drawings
- Machine maintenance
- Operating pneumatic and hydraulic machines
- Manufacturing, assembly and disassembly of components, assemblies and systems
- Maintaining and ensuring the operability of technical systems
- Business and quality assurance systems in your area of responsibility
- Customer focus
Training stations:
- Cutting-based manufacturing methods
- Jig manufacturing
- Assembly
- Quality assurance
- Maintenance
Our requirements:
- Good results in school certificates
- An interest in engineering
- Good spatial reasoning abilities
- An understanding of mathematics
- A flair for crafts and trade work
- A conscientious sense of responsibility
- Ability to keep workplaces clean and tidy and to work with care and accuracy
Length of training:
- 3½ years. The duration of training can be shortened in the case of good academic performance
